Petеr Batakliev in Largo Winch
and Soldier of Fortune, Inc
Peter Batakliev graduated from the Superior Institute of Theatre and Film in Bulgaria and lives in Canada since 1990. He made his Canadian debut in The Other Death of Joan of Arc and has appeared in several of Alexandre Marine’s productions. He won a Montreal English Critics Circle Award for his performance in Ben Barnes’ Waiting for Godot, at Centaur.
In 2000, he directed Hristo Boychev’s Colonel Oiseau for Theatre de Quat’Sous. He has also performed in film and on television. Batakliev is known and admired for being a highly physical actor, adorning his texts with a clown’s wit and energy.
