Teacher, art curator and poet Ivette Petri's multi-cultural background
Ivette Petri studied Art History in Venice, Italy and Toronto, earning an Honours B.A. in Art and Art History. In 2006 she completed a Masters degree in Italian Linguistics and Literature at the University of Toronto. She has worked as an Italian and Art Instructor, as assistant curator on travelling exhibits in Europe, as a creative writer for culture magazines, a translator for the Italian Trade Commission, and more recently, as an independent curator at Masterpiece Gallery in Toronto. She is currently completing her B. Ed. Diploma and is looking forward to a fruitful career in the teaching profession.
