Papasoff Quartet

Most renown for his work on baritone saxophone, Papasoff is also a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer and actor. Recently, on top of writing for his quartet, he scored the documentary “American Fugitive: The Truth About Hassan” by Jean-Daniel Lafond (2006) and Marie-Jan Seille’s feature film “La Lune viendra d’elle-même” (Genie nomination for best music, 2004).

His credits as a music producer include Dawn Tyler Watson and Paul Deslauriers’s "...en duo" (Record of the year, Lys Blues Awards, 2009) and Coral Egan’s "My Favorite Distraction" (Producer of the year ADISQ, 2004). As a saxophonist, he has shared the stage with creative musicians such as Hamiett Bluiett, Karen Young, Matt Herskowitz, Donny Mc Caslin, Pheeroan Ak Laff, Baikida Carroll & Claude Ranger. The baritone saxophone has become an integral of his body as he developed extended techniques to actuate the instrument into modern times.
