Velislav Kazakov, Cuckoo Animation, Montreal

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Velislav Kazakov joined Animated Film Studio “Sofia” in 1975 as animator, then director, art director, designer and storyboard/layout artist on over 30 short films. He graduated in 1988 from National Academy of Theater and Cinema in Sofia with an M.A. in Animation. After working at Richard Williams Studios in London in 1991-1992, Velislav moved to Montreal and has worked on many TV series, features and shorts.

This is a clip of Velislav’s short film, Bugging the Bug [2004] about a comic catastrophe that unfolds over a ladybug and causing climate changes.
